What is the nearest airport?
The closest airport is McGee/Tyson located just South of Knoxville, TN, and is approximately 50 miles from our office. The Asheville, NC, airport is also within driving distance — approximately 90 miles.
When can we check into our cabin?
Our check-ins begin after 3:00pm. We try to have all cabins ready for check-in at that time. In rare occasions, circumstances beyond our control delay that check-in time slightly. But rest assured, you will be able to check into your cabin as soon as we know the cabin is clean and has been inspected. We can some times accommodate an early check-in if requested in advance...but we NEVER guarantee it.
When do we need to check out of our cabin?
Checkout time is 11:00am. We have a very high standard of cleanliness that we demand of our housekeeping staff. In order to provide you with cabins that meet our standards, they must have ample time to thoroughly clean each cabin between guests, therefore we must enforce our checkout time.
How will we get the keys to our cabin?
Our cabins all have computerized locks...no keys will be necessary. You will be assigned a code for your reservation that will be emailed to you prior to your check-in date. When you get into Pigeon Forge you can go directly to your cabin and use your code to get in...you will already be checked in, there is no need to go to a office.

All of our cabins are fully furnished with luxury amenities. All linens, bedding, pots, pans, dishes and utensils are provided for your convenience. We also provide a starter packet of paper products that includes toilet tissue, paper towels, dishwasher soap, and bath soap. These items are intended as "starter" items and will not be adequate for lengthy stays.
What should we bring with us?
We suggest you bring along a few items to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Since we only provide a starter packet of paper items we suggest you bring along an additional supply of toilet tissue, paper towels, dishwasher soap, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, and bath soap. We also suggest beach towels for use at our pool and hot tubs. Extra towels are not provided by Carey Cabin Rentals, Inc. Since our area is in the mountains of East Tennessee the elevation causes us to have cool evenings… a jacket is suggested even in the middle of summer.
Do the cabins have maid service?
We do not include maid service with our normal rental. Cabin rental companies typically do not include this service. We will however provide full maid service, upon request, for an additional fee. Ask your reservationists to quote the current rates based on your cabin size and length of stay.
What happens if I need to change or cancel my reservation?
You can read our cancellation policy by clicking on the cabin your considering renting and click on "Policies". We do have a strict cancellation policy that we enforce. If you're concerned that you may need to cancel please consider travel insurance.
How do we make payment for our rental?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. At the time of booking ½ of your cabin rental is due unless your check in date is within 30 days then your full cabin rental is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to your arrival date and will be charged to the credit card on file unless we are notified prior to the 14 days.

We do have plenty of pet friendly cabins to choose from. We do not restrict on size. There is a $50 non-refundable pet fee per pet (max 3 pets). Please refer to our "Policies".
Is there an age requirement for renting a cabin?
We will only rent to individuals over the age of 21. The person renting the cabin is the responsible party for all guests in the cabin and must be over the age of 21. Proof of age must be shown at time of check-in and anyone under the age of 21 will not be permitted to check-in. Couples and anyone celebrating their Honeymoon with us are exceptions. Arrangements should be made in advance. Ask your reservationists if you are in question.
What is the weather like in East Tennessee?

What is the parking like at the cabins?
Most of our cabins have large flat parking areas. Perfect for motorcycles or tow trailers. There is additional parking areas for larger trailers or RV's if necessary.
What are the roads like going to the cabin?
All of Carey Cabin Rentals, Inc. cabins are easily accessible by auto with NO 4-wheel drive needed. The roads are all wide paved roads (NO GRAVEL).
